Fullscreen clock for your desk
A fullscreen clock fills a spare screen or an iPad so you can read the time from across the desk. It stays awake, goes fullscreen, and keeps the theme and size you chose.
How to use
Open the clock and the digits fill the window. Move the pointer or tap the glass if the bars have faded; they hide after a few seconds of stillness so the time is the only thing on the panel. Press F for fullscreen on a desktop, or use the expand button in the top bar. Press S to open settings. Double-click the display with a mouse when you want the browser frame gone. Seconds are on by default, and the long date sits under the time until you change it.
Set it up on an iPad or second screen
Set an iPad on a stand at the back of the desk, or put a browser window on a second monitor and leave it there. In Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and open the clock from the new icon so the browser bars stay hidden. The page asks for a wake lock, which keeps the screen on while this tab is open. iPadOS can still sleep from its own Auto-Lock timer, so set Auto-Lock to Never on a device you use as a desk clock. For a lobby, a kitchen, or a child's room, turn on Guided Access under Settings, then Accessibility, and start it with a triple-click of the side button. That stops a stray swipe from leaving the clock. At night, open settings and set Dim to 40. A black overlay softens the backlight and the digits stay readable. Keep the iPad plugged in.
Customize it
The table lists every control and the URL parameter that stores it. Change a value in settings and the address bar updates, so a bookmark is a complete setup. Theme, font, scale, and dim are shared across tools on this site. The clock's own choices, such as 12-hour time or a different time zone, are saved for the main clock page. Values that match the defaults are left out of the link, which keeps a shared setup short.

Keyboard shortcuts
These keys work when focus is not in a text field. The shell handles fullscreen, settings, hiding the bars, and this list. The clock adds two keys of its own. Press the question mark whenever you need the list again.

Why a fullscreen clock belongs on a spare screen
A menu-bar time is enough when you are already looking at the laptop. It fails when you are across the room, on a call, or using the kitchen counter as a desk. Digits that fill the panel fix that. Midnight is a strong dark theme for an OLED monitor, and Paper is easier in a bright office. Raise Scale if you read the time from a doorway, and lower it if the digits feel cramped on a small tablet. Turn seconds off when the ticking colon is more motion than you want. Use 12-hour time with an AM or PM marker if that is how you say the time, or 24-hour time on a screen other people read. Stack the date under the time, place it inline, or hide it. Prefer the retro look? Try the flip clock.
FAQ
How do I keep a fullscreen clock awake on an iPad all day?
Open the page in Safari, tap Share, and choose Add to Home Screen. Launch it from that icon so the address bar stays hidden. The page requests a wake lock while it is open. iPadOS can still lock from Auto-Lock, so set that timer to Never on a stand you use all day. For a shared room, start Guided Access with a triple-click of the side button. At night, set Dim to 40 so the backlight softens.
Can this online clock show a time zone other than mine?
Yes. Press S or tap the gear and set Time zone to an IANA name such as America/New_York or Asia/Kolkata. The default, local, follows the device you are using. The choice is stored in the URL as tz, so a bookmark can pin one zone for a shared office screen. Reload and the zone stays. This does not change the time zone in the iPad or computer settings. An unknown name is ignored and the clock falls back.
Will leaving the clock on all day mark the screen?
A bright static image can mark some OLED panels if the same pixels stay lit for months. Burn-in shift is on by default. The digits nudge a few pixels and never repeat the previous offset, so the wear does not sit in one spot. The move is small, and the time stays readable from across the room. Set the shift parameter to 0 if you want the digits fixed. A lower Dim value also eases the panel at night.
Do I need an account to use this desk clock?
No. There is no sign-in and nothing to install from an app store. The clock runs in the browser you already have. Theme, font, size, dim, and hour format are stored in localStorage on that device, and the same choices land in the URL when they differ from the defaults. Clearing site data for this host removes the saved look. Nothing is tied to an account, because there is not one.
How do I share the exact clock setup on my desk?
Set the theme, font, scale, hour format, and time zone until the spare screen looks right. Open settings and use Copy link to this setup. The link only includes values that differ from the defaults, so a plain midnight clock stays short. Send it to another desk or open it on the iPad. The URL wins over a saved look, so the receiver sees the setup you intended, and can change it later.
